1、Choose the right connector. Fiber optic patch cord connectors are LC / SC / ST / FC / MPO / MTP, if the interface at both ends of the device is the same, we can use LC-LC / SC-SC / MPO-MPO, if the interface at both ends of the device is different, we can use the LC-SC / LC-ST / LC-FC connection.
2、Choose single-mode or multimode. Single-mode is mainly used for long-distance transportation, multimode is mainly used for short-distance transportation, in general, the color of single-mode patch cable is yellow, multimode patch cable is orange, lake blue, purple.
3、choose single-fiber or dual-fiber. Single-fiber patch cable has only one line and is connected with bi-directional (BIDI) optical modules, while dual-fiber is two patch cables side by side and connected with common optical modules.
4、choose the length of the patch cord. The length of the fiber patch cord is generally 0.5m ~ 50m, mainly according to the length of the distance between the device and the equipment.
