The optical modules at both ends of the fiber optic patch cord must be the same wavelength of transmission and reception, which means that both ends of the fiber must be the same wavelength of the optical module, a simple way to distinguish is the color of the optical module to be the same. In general, short-wave optical modules use multimode fiber (orange fiber), and long-wave optical modules use single-mode fiber (yellow fiber), to ensure the accuracy of data transmission.
  Do not overbend and loop the fiber in use, as this will increase the attenuation of light in the transmission process. Care should be taken to ensure that the cable is not damaged during installation, maintenance or repair work.
  Be sure to protect the fiber optic splice with a protective sleeve after the fiber optic patch cord is used, dust and oil can damage the fiber optic coupling.
  If the fiber optic splice is soiled, you can use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean it, otherwise it will affect the quality of communication.

Testing or troubleshooting jumper failure can be done first through and through test, you can usually use a visible laser pointer to light the entire fiber optic link to determine. Or further use the precision fiber optic insertion loss back loss meter, test its indicators, indicators within the qualified range, the jumper indicates normal, and vice versa is not qualified.
