Feb 21, 2022

The outdoor optical cable project of XX office building is to adapt to the rapid development of XX office building in network applications and meet the bandwidth requirements of various network applications. .

The construction contents include:

1. Optical cable laying

From the network computer room on the XX floor to the XX computer room;

2. Optical cable termination

Welding of optical cable split welding points.

Specific steps of project implementation

1.Outdoor construction of optical cable

The most important thing for long-distance optical cable laying is to choose a suitable path according to the architectural structure and geographical environment of the building. The shortest path is not necessarily the best, but also pay attention to the right to use the land, the possibility of erection or burial, etc. Reasonable construction in accordance with construction design and construction drawings. During construction, be careful not to put the optical cable under heavy pressure or be punctured by hard objects. When the optical cable turns, its turning radius is 20 times larger than the diameter of the optical cable itself.

(1)Construction of outdoor pipeline optical cable:

A. Before construction, the occupancy of the pipeline should be checked, the plastic sub-pipes should be cleaned and placed, and the traction wire should be placed at the same time.

B. Calculate the deployment length, and there must be enough reserved length. See the table below for details:

Increase in natural bending length (m/km) Increase in turning length in manhole (m/hole) Overlap length of joint (m/side) Remarks in office (m)

50.5~18~1015~20 Others reserved for the design

C. The length of one laying should not be too long (generally 2KM). When wiring, it should be pulled from the middle to both sides.

D. The traction force of the cabling is generally not more than 120kg, and the reinforced core part of the optical cable should be pulled, and the waterproof and strengthening treatment of the head of the optical cable should be done.

E. The lead-in and lead-out of the optical cable must be equipped with a guide device, and the floor cannot be directly mopped.

F. The pipeline optical cable should also pay attention to reliable grounding.

(2) The laying of directly buried optical cables:

A. The depth of direct buried optical cable trench should be excavated according to the standard. The standard is shown in the following table:

B. Where it is not possible to dig trenches, the pipelines can be laid overhead or drilled.

C. The bottom of the ditch should be flat and firm, and a part of sand, cement or support can be pre-filled when necessary.

D. Manual or mechanical traction can be used when laying, but attention should be paid to guidance and lubrication.

E. After the laying is completed, the soil should be covered and compacted as soon as possible.

Buried depth standard of direct buried optical cable

Remarks for laying section or soil depth (m)

Ordinary soil (hard soil)≥1.2

Semi-stony (gravel soil, weathered stone) ≥ 1.0

All stone quality ≥ 0.8, add 10cm fine soil or sandy soil from the bottom of the ditch

Quicksand≥0.8

Suburbs, villages and towns ≥ 1.2

City sidewalk ≥ 1.0

Crossing railways and highways ≥ 1.2 from the ballast bottom or from the road surface

Ditch, canal, pond≥1.2

Farmland drainage ditch≥0.8

A. When laying vertically, special attention should be paid to the load-bearing problem of the optical cable. Generally, the optical cable should be fixed once every two layers.

B. When the optical cable passes through the wall or floor, a protective plastic pipe with a mouth guard should be added, and the pipe should be filled with flame retardant filler.

C. It is also possible to lay a certain amount of plastic pipes in advance in the building, and then use the traction or vacuum method to lay the optical cable when the optical cable is to be laid in the future.

2.Construction preparation

Develop construction organization plans and safety measures.

(1)Organizational measures:

Set the site leader, technical leader, safety officer and members of the construction team. The safety officer is responsible for the power outage and transmission of the line. The construction team can only enter the site for construction after receiving the notification of the safety officer's work permit.

(2)Construction plan:

1. Use tension pay-off and tightening.

2. Put the traction rope first, and then pull the optical cable.

3. The construction team prepares the construction tools and tower fixtures in the responsible area in advance.

4. Construction tools, traction ropes and optical cables will be transported to the construction site by the construction team.

5. Optical cables, accessories and materials shall be handled by special personnel.

6. Cross the live lines and obstacles along the line with the use of hanging wire pulleys to pull over the pulleys.

3. Technical points in the handling and laying of optical cables

(1) The cable reel should be kept upright during handling and storage. It is strictly forbidden to lay the cable reel flat or stack it, so as to avoid confusion or damage to the cable arrangement.

(2) When rolling the optical cable reel for a short distance, it should be rolled in the direction of the arrow marked on the cable reel, and pay attention to the smooth ground to avoid damage to the protective plate and damage to the optical cable. Fiber optic cables are prohibited from rolling over long distances.

(3) When loading and unloading the optical cable, it is strictly forbidden to roll or throw it directly from the car to avoid damage to the optical cable.

(4)When laying, the tensile force and lateral pressure of the optical cable should be strictly controlled, and the relevant mechanical strength indicators of the optical cable should be inquired if necessary.

(5)The bending radius of the optical cable should be strictly controlled during laying, and the bending radius during construction shall not be less than the allowable dynamic bending radius of the optical cable. The bending radius during positioning shall not be less than the static bending radius allowed by the optical cable.

(6) The twist of the optical cable should be strictly controlled when the optical cable is put through the tube or in sections. If necessary, the inverted "8" method should be used to keep the optical cable in a twist-free state, so as to remove the twisting stress and ensure the service life of the optical cable.

(7)Before connecting the optical cable, a length should be cut to ensure that the connecting part is not damaged mechanically.

(8)The optical cable connection process should be detected by OTDR, and the measurement of connection loss should be calculated by OTDR bidirectional measurement and arithmetic average method.

4. Optical cable termination and termination

(1) The connection of the split welding point of the optical cable adopts permanent optical fiber connection (fusion). This type of connection is to use the method of electric discharge to melt and connect the connection points of the optical fibers together. Its main feature is that the connection attenuation is the lowest among all connection methods, with a typical value of 0.01~0.03dB/point. However, when connecting, special equipment (fusion machine) and professionals are required to operate, and the connection point also needs to be protected by a special container.

(2) After splicing, the optical fibers should be neatly arranged and reasonably arranged. The optical fiber connectors should be fixed, the remaining length of the optical fiber should be consistent, and the tension should be moderate. There is no twisting and compression phenomenon, and the remaining length of the optical fiber should not be less than 1.2m.

(3) If a heat shrinkable sleeve is used for sealing the optical cable joint sleeve, it should be carried out according to the specified process requirements. After sealing, it should be tested and checked for any problems, and a record should be made for future reference.

(4)The arrangement of optical cable terminal joints or equipment should be reasonable and orderly, the installation location should be safe and stable, and there should be no external facilities such as heat sources and flammable substances nearby that may damage it.

(5)The connector carried by the optical fiber of the tail optical fiber cable or the single-core optical fiber cable drawn from the optical cable terminal joint shall be inserted into the connecting parts on the optical distribution frame according to the design requirements. If the connector is not used temporarily, it can be unplugged, but it should be covered with a plastic cap to ensure that it is not polluted and is convenient for future connection.

(6) In the rack or equipment (such as optical fiber splice box), the optical fiber and the optical fiber joint should be protected, the optical fiber winding direction should be consistent, there should be enough space and the specified curvature radius.

(7)When connecting the optical fiber of the outdoor optical cable, it should be carried out in strict accordance with the operating procedures. The requirements for the concentricity deviation between the fiber core diameter and the center position of the connector joint are as follows:

①The deviation of the concentricity of the multimode fiber should be less than or equal to 3μm;

②The concentricity deviation of the single-mode fiber should be less than or equal to 1 μm.

If the specified indicators are not met, especially when the optical fiber splicing loss is exceeded, it shall not be used. The connector should be cut off and reconnected, and it must be used after passing the test.

(8) The copper wire, metal shielding layer, metal reinforcing core and metal armoring layer of the optical cable should be connected and grounded according to the design requirements, and it is required to check and test whether they meet the standard requirements. If there is any problem, it must be remedial correction.

(9)Before inserting the optical fiber jumper or optical fiber connector in the optical cable transmission system into the adapter or coupler, use a propanol alcohol cotton swab to wipe the connector plug and the inside of the adapter. It is required to be cleaned before plugging, and the plugging must be tight. , firm and reliable.

(10)There should be eye-catching signs at the connection of the optical fiber terminals, and the content of the signs should be correct, clear and complete (such as the serial number and purpose of the optical fiber, etc.).
