(6) Remove the fiber and heat the heat shrink tube with the heater
Open the windshield, remove the fiber from the fusion splicer, then place the heat shrink tube in the middle of the bare fiber and heat it in the furnace. The heater can use 20mm miniature heat shrink tubing and 40mm and 60mm general heat shrink tubing, 20mm heat shrink tube takes 40 seconds, 60mm heat shrink tube for 85 seconds.

(8) Seal and hang up
If the field fusion splicing, splice box must be sealed to prevent water. After the fusion box into the water, due to the fiber and fiber fusion point long-term immersion in water, may first appear part of the fiber attenuation increase. It is best to make the splice box waterproof measures and hook and hang on the hanging wire. So far, the fiber optic fusion splicing is complete.
