Construction requirements for FTTH projects

1、ODF optical wiring frame installation

  (1) ODF frame installation position and face orientation should be in accordance with the design requirements.

  (2) ODF frame installation vertical deviation should be no more than 3mm.

  (3) ODF frame adjacent to the rack should be close together, flush within the column machine surface.

  (4) ODF configuration pigtail and adapter type for the SC model.

  (5) fiber connection line should be placed neatly, the rack and between the rack should be separate alignment.

  (6) The static radius of curvature of the fiber optic connection line should be not less than 30mm.

  (7) in the installation of ODF, should refer to the installation manual, in strict accordance with the construction specifications, which adapters and optical fiber pigtail installation sequence number see the drawings.


  2、Fiber optic cable into end splicing

  (1) fiber optic cable in the cabinet and home wiring box into the end in order to connect with other equipment (home wiring box, such as the use of pre-terminated fiber optic cable, there is no need for end splicing). Fiber optic cable into the telecommunications room, equipment should choose a safe location. When in a position vulnerable to external damage, protective measures should be taken.

  (2) indoor fiber optic cable in the passing alignment frame, bend points, and other locations, should be tied and fixed, and arranged neatly. Up and down the aisle or climbing wall parts should be pad hose to avoid lateral pressure on the fiber optic cable. Its length and cable radius of curvature should meet the design requirements.

  (3) Fiber optic cable should be terminated in the cabinet, and tied and fixed in the cabinet. The metal components within the fiber optic cable should be in good contact with the protective grounding device of the cabinet. (Protective ground and lightning ground)

  (4) fiber into the end should be fused with the pigtail according to the fiber sequence and marked in the cabinet core and user correspondence.

  (5) fiber optic cable into the end, the rack should have pigtail and optical jumper shelter, protection devices, using hot melt technology for fiber termination. Single-core fiber hot melt splicing, two-way attenuation average should be less than or equal to 0.06dB.


  3, the laying of pipeline sub-pipe

  4、Pipeline fiber optic cable laying

  (1)The length, number of cores and specification program of the fiber optic cable should be checked before construction to see if it meets the design requirements.

  (2)According to the design document requirements to select the location of the optical cable accounted for hole, such as the design is not determined, should be based on the principle of first up and then down, first two sides after the middle of the selection of pipe holes.

  (3)When laying fiber optic cable, there must be a person in command, each hand hole should be manned, follow the command, act according to the order to prevent small circles and unsafe factors, manual laying of pipeline fiber optic cable shall not exceed 1000m in one laying length.

  (4)When guiding and placing the fiber optic cable, the fiber optic cable out of the hand hole mouth ring should take appropriate anti-abrasion measures to prevent damage to the fiber optic cable.

  (5) After laying the cable should be straight, no twist, no obvious scratches and damage, joints should be left long to meet the design requirements.

  (6) fiber optic cable should be fixed in the hand hole after laying. Fiber optic cable out of the pipe hole within 15cm should not be bent, other parts should be fixed close to the wall of the hand hole, fixed after the radius of curvature of the cable must be greater than 15 times the diameter of the fiber optic cable.

  (7) fiber optic cable in each hand hole must be hung, hanging sign should be hung in an obvious location, hanging sign content should reflect the fiber optic cable program, direction.

  (8) introduced into the building after the completion of cable laying, in the introduction of both ends of the tube should take sealing measures.


  5, the laying of fiber optic cable in the building

  (1) construction should be carefully surveyed and calculated before the route to determine the length of cable use. Should control the speed of wear and put, and at the cable tray left manned to prevent the cable tangle knot.

  (2) into the home optical cable must be placed manually, in the dark pipe, channel placement, should be laid in sections, the length of a one-time traction should not exceed 20 meters.

  (3)The household fiber optic cable in the bend or dark pipe, channel articulation exposed, need to be manned to prevent cable twisting, knotting, abrasion.

  (4) into the home cable placement, the traction force should be less than 80% of the short-term force limit of the cable.

  (5)The fiber optic cable should be properly coated with inorganic lubricant or special lubricant to reduce the friction coefficient when it is put in the concealed pipe.

  (6)When using the traction line in the concealed pipe to lay the household cable, the traction line and the household cable should be connected to the reinforcing member.

  (7) home cable along the channel, bridge vertical laying, should be fixed at the top end of the cable and every interval of 1.5m, fixed should be loose; horizontal laying, the first, last, turning and every interval of 5 ~ l0m in the cable for fixed.

  (8) indoor fiber optic cable reserved length should meet the following requirements.

  ① fiber optic cable in the wiring closet (frame) at the cable reserved length of 3.0 m ~ 5.0 m;

  ② fiber optic cable in the floor optical wiring box at the reserved fiber length of 1.0 m ~ 1.5 m.

  ③ fiber optic cable in the home wiring box into the end, the reserved length should not be less than 500mm.

  ④ user cable cores in the user side of the wiring module is not made into the end, should retain the length reserved when the cable is placed.


  6、Fiber optic cable splicing

  (1) cutting cable, stripping the cable sheath should use special tools to avoid damage to the fiber or core insulation layer.

  (2) before splicing should check the end of the cable, fiber (line) sequence, after splicing shall not appear fiber (line) sequence misconnection.

  (3) cable end and fiber (line) sequence should be permanently marked.


  7, cable connector box installation

  (1) fiber reinforced core in the splice box must be fixed firmly, metal components in the joint should become electrical disconnected state.

  (2) optical fiber reserved in the splice box, should ensure that its radius of curvature is not less than 30 mm, and coiling direction should be consistent, no extrusion, loosening.

  (3) The splice box should be sealed to maintain good water tightness and air tightness.

  (4) pipeline fiber optic splice box in the hand hole should be taken to protect and fix measures, after splicing the remaining length of the fiber optic cable should be placed in the hand hole according to the design requirements and fixed neatly.


  8, the building optical fiber distribution box installation

  (1) after the user cable into the building, according to the number of users covered by a reasonable allocation of floor optical fiber splitting point capacity. In order to facilitate line maintenance and user management, the number of users accommodated by the floor optical fiber box should not be too many. Usually a floor optical fiber point can accommodate 12 to 48 fiber users. When the installation conditions allow (such as in the weak shaft), the number of users housed in the floor optical fiber points can be increased.

  (2) user fiber optic cable and into the home butterfly cable using fusion connection.

  (3) from the floor optical splitter box to the floor where the household butterfly cable laid in the open, should be installed with a tube protection.

  (4) box installation height: the bottom of the dark box should not be less than 1.5m from the ground, the bottom of the open box from the ground should be more than 1.8m.


  9, cable transfer box installation

  Fiber optic cable transfer box installation location should meet the following requirements.

  (1) the intersection or branch of the cable;

  (2) the sidewalk side of the green belt, the courtyard fence corner, windward;

  (3) not vulnerable to external damage, relatively safe and concealed and does not affect the aesthetic environment of the location;

  (4) close to the human (hand) hole to facilitate cable access, and facilitate the construction and maintenance of the location;

  (5) avoid high temperature, high voltage, electromagnetic interference, corrosion, flammable and explosive, low-lying and other places;

  (6) Avoid places with air conditioning outdoor units and ventilation fan room with vibration; 

  (7) avoid the normal passage of pedestrians and vehicles.


  10, cable transfer box base installation

  Cable transfer box installation base should comply with the following provisions.

  (1) should use concrete cast-in-place base and pre-buried PVC pipe.

  (2) the base of the cast concrete should be used strength grade 32.5MPa and above the cement.

  (3) The height of the base should not be less than 300mm.

  (4) The length and width of the base should be greater than the length and width of the bottom of the box, the length x width should not be less than 800mmX 400mm.

  (5) The box should be fixed to the cement base using M12 expansion bolts.
