Construction method and specification of leather cable

Feb 09, 2020

1. The construction method of leather fiber optic cable

In the FTTX project, two splicing methods are mainly used: one is optical cable cold splicing technology (physical splicing) based on cold splices, and the other is hot melt technology using fusion splicers as tools.

1. Cold splicing technology: The optical fiber cold splice is used when two pigtails are connected. The main component inside is a precision v-groove. After the two pigtails are pulled out, the cold splice is used to realize the butt connection of the two pigtails. . The operation is simpler and faster, and it saves time than welding with a welding machine. On the surface, the cold splicing operation is simple and fast, which saves time compared to the hot melt of the fusion splicer. However, the cold splicing technology is mainly used in emergency applications after the optical cable communication is interrupted.

2. Hot-melt technology: that is, a technology that uses a welding machine as a tool. Its loss is small. The two optical fibers adopt hot-melt technology, and the fusion splicing in accordance with the trunk line standard greatly reduces the splicing loss. Since the hot-melting standard is required by the trunk line construction, the life of the general splicing point will be similar to that of the ordinary optical fiber cable, and there is no single point. Life issue.

Second, the construction specification of the leather cable

1. Before laying the home optical cable, the type of user's residential building, environmental conditions and the routing of the existing cable should be considered. At the same time, it is necessary to make a comprehensive judgment on the economics and safety of construction, the convenience of future maintenance and user satisfaction. . The existing concealed pipes should be used to lay the optical fiber cables. For residential buildings without concealed pipes or the concealed pipes are not available, it is advisable to lay the butterfly-shaped drop cables by laying corrugated pipes in the building.

2. For residential buildings with vertical wiring bridges, it is advisable to install corrugated pipes and floor crossing boxes in the bridges for putting butterfly-shaped drop cables. If there is no space to install the corrugated pipe in the bridge, the winding pipe should be used to wrap the laying of the butterfly-shaped drop optical cable to protect the optical cable.

3. Because the butterfly-shaped drop cable cannot be immersed in water for a long time, it is generally not suitable for laying directly in underground pipelines. The bending radius of the butterfly drop cable should be in accordance with: during the laying process it should not be less than 30mm; after fixing it should not be less than 15mm. Under normal circumstances, the traction of the butterfly drop cable should not exceed 80% of the allowable tension of the cable; the instant traction should not It exceeds 100% of the allowable tension of the optical cable, and the main traction should be added to the reinforcing member of the optical cable.

4. The optical cable reel should be used to carry the butterfly-shaped drop-in optical cable, and the cable tray should be used when laying the optical cable so that the optical cable reel can rotate automatically to prevent the optical cable from being entangled. In the process of laying optical cables, strict attention should be paid to the tensile strength and bending radius of the optical fiber to prevent the optical fiber from being twisted, twisted, damaged and stepped on.
