Optical fiber is an optical fiber made of glass or plastic. Although it is as thin as a hair, it has a very hard texture. It needs to be effectively cut with a professional optical fiber cleaver to ensure the flatness of the fiber end face.
First understand the operation steps of the fiber cleaver
① Make sure the fiber clamp is clean before using the cleaver;
②Open the upper cover of the cutting knife and clamp pressure plate, and push the guide rail with the blade to the side in front;
③ Use a wire stripper to peel off the outer coating layer of the optical fiber about 30 mm long, and wipe the bare optical fiber clean with optical fiber cleaning paper dipped in absolute alcohol;
④ Align the edge of the optical fiber coating layer with the appropriate scale on the cleaver scale (10~20mm);
⑤Put the optical fiber into the optical fiber guide groove with the left hand, and place the bare optical fiber straight on the rubber pad;
⑥Close the clamp and the upper cover, and push the guide rail with the blade to make the blade cut the lower surface of the optical fiber and cut the optical fiber without too much force;
⑦The left hand holds the cutting knife, and the right hand opens the upper cover of the cutting knife;
⑧Pinch the fiber with your left hand, and open the clamp plate with your right hand, carefully remove the fiber with the cut end face;
⑨Light-cutting is completed
Pay attention to:
1. Do not touch or touch the clothing with your hands on the end face of the cut optical fiber to avoid pollution;
2. Be sure to put the cut waste fiber into the waste fiber box of the cutting knife;
3. Please clean the fiber cleaver after use, and put it in the convenient box if it is not used for a long time.
