U.S. provider Kinetic has announced the launch of 2 Gig Kinetic Fiber in select residential markets. The new 2 Gig fiber Internet is offered over a 100 percent fiber connection, and the company says it also plans to expand its multi-Gig offerings for homes and businesses to more markets and higher speeds in the future.
As part of its transition from telecommunications provider to technology leader, Kinetic is engaged in a multi-year, $2 billion capital investment strategy across its 18-state footprint. Last year, the company rolled out nearly 81,000 miles of next-generation fiber in the communities it serves, many of which are small towns and rural areas. In addition, the provider is working to build unique partnerships with cities, counties and other groups to drive fiber deeper into the network more quickly.
The launch of 2 Gig service underscores the strategic positioning of "We don't leave towns behind" to share Kinetic's mission of bringing high-speed Internet service to towns that other Internet carriers may have overlooked.
While many of our competitors are ignoring these markets, we are optimizing them," said Kinetic executives. As more and more homes have more devices connected to the Internet, from gaming systems to streaming movies to refrigerators, families need faster speeds to meet the demand. Deciding to live in a community that works for your family doesn't mean giving up what you need to get your family to prosper.
