Start-up Internet Service Providers (ISPs) can now offer full fiber services through CityFibre's national open access network.
Octaplus joins more than 30 consumer ISPs, including Vodafone, TalkTalk, Zen and Giganet, with which the independent provider has signed agreements.
Now, CityFibre has made Octaplus available at every location designated as "ready to serve" for residential use. CityFibre's network currently passes through more than 2 million premises, with more than 1.8 million homes ready for customers to subscribe to full-fiber broadband and be connected in just five business days.
Gladstone Gonsalves, founder of Octaplus, said: "We are delighted to be working with CityFibre, the second largest fibre provider in the UK. We are delighted to be providing gigabit connectivity to homes and businesses across the country. Customer service is at the heart of our operations and we want to make Internet services affordable for homes and businesses and put money back into our customers' pockets with better products and faster speeds."
George Wareing, chief sales officer at CityFibre, added: "The addition of Octaplus to our network and our growing consumer ISP offering is great news for consumers looking for more choice and better service. Our launch is unlocking the UK's potential in the data age and the next generation of ISPs are helping to shape a more competitive landscape, which can only be a good thing."
