Converge ICT Lights Up Boracay's Fiber Optic Broadband Service

Converge ICT Solutions, a leading fiber optic broadband service provider in the Philippines, announced the launch of its fiber optic broadband service in Boracay. The company has invested nearly Php2 billion ($36.1 million) in its latest service expansion aimed at improving the quality of broadband services in Boracay. Uy said Boracay was chosen as the location for its latest service expansion because of the high number of tourists visiting the island and the many complaints of poor service quality. He added that the company is targeting not only the consumer segment but also small and medium enterprises and corporate customers.
The deployment of fiber optic infrastructure in Boracay and the wider Banai Island is expected to significantly improve the quality of broadband services in the area. Fiber optic technology provides a faster and more reliable Internet connection than traditional copper connections.
