Angola Cables and Flexential, a data center hosting, cloud and connectivity provider, announced a partnership to provide hosting and interconnection options to customers in the Southern and West African markets.
By providing Angola Cables' MONET cables, which are located at Flexential's data center in Fort Lauderdale, U.S., the partnership will provide customers with connectivity through the low-latency, high-capacity South Atlantic Cable System (SACS).
Flexential noted that the previous Google Wire only linked São Paulo, Brazil, to Boca Raton. However, it said a recent upgrade to the MONET cable and Flexential's partnership with Angola Cables will extend access to this submarine cable to another access point in the United States. It will also provide direct access to the AngoNAP Tier III data center and SACS landing station in Fortaleza, Brazil.
Flexential says its customers will benefit significantly from international connectivity to African markets through simple cross-connected fiber, especially by expanding its current international submarine cable connections in the Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions. flexential's customers will experience fast, low-latency connectivity not only from Fort Lauderdale, but also through the company's national The FlexAnywhere platform spans all 40 of Flexential's data centers.
