Exa Infrastructure is investing in a new land transportation route to Lisbon and Sinesh, Portugal. This strategic investment in a southern European transport route aims to provide customers with more diverse connectivity to the fast-growing cable landing stations (CLS) and data centers.
The move follows Exa's announcement of a new 600 km network link between Barcelona, Zaragoza and Bilbao, connecting growing clusters of data centers in all three cities. This complements the urban fiber enhancements currently underway in the Barcelona region.
Extending our network routing to Portugal builds on Exa's strategy to be the leading provider of data center to data center and submarine cable connectivity," said Exa's Vice President of Infrastructure Network Investments. We are delivering on our promise to provide our customers with competitive options from specialist infrastructure providers through diverse transport routes across the Iberian Peninsula from Spain to Sinesh and Lisbon."
Exa Infrastructure's Chief Commercial Officer added: "Over the past 12 months, EXA has committed to being the most extensive and professional infrastructure network available to organizations seeking to maximize scale and control. We are delivering on this commitment and expanding our footprint from Spain to Portugal is the next step in this journey. Our focus is firmly on building more diverse options for new and existing customers on one of the most advanced fiber networks on the market."
